First look at Krysten’s new show, Gravity!

February 5th, 2010

Cool updates to the Krysten Ritter Source gallery, with the first stills and promo photos of her new show, Gravity. Thanks to Damian TV for the heads up.

Gravity follows the sometimes comic, sometimes tragic exploits of a group from an eccentric out-patient program of suicide survivors. Krysten Ritter (”Breaking Bad,” Confessions of a Shopaholic), stars as Lily Champagne, a twenty-something who just can’t connect to anyone until she actually dies. She stars with Ivan Sergei (”Charmed,” The Break-Up), who plays Robert Collingsworth, who is despondent following the death of his wife, and who becomes an internet celebrity when his suicide attempt goes comically awry. He stars with Eric Schaeffer, the series’ co-creator and one of its executive producers, who plays Miller, an enigmatic cop with mysterious intentions.

The show premieres April 23rd on Starz.

Info on Krysten’s new role in “Killing Bono”

December 15th, 2009

rysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars) and Narnia’s Ben Barnes will star in Killing Bono, a Nick Hamm film based on the book Killing Bono: I Was Bono’s Doppleganger, about “the early days of U2 from a rival band’s perspective.” As not much of a U2 fan, this sounds like it could be entertaining.

Publisher’s Weekly describes it like so: “The author of this exuberant rock memoir went to school with the members of super-group U2 and stayed friends with Bono (ne Paul Hewson) as he rose from garage-band front-man to rock colossus to world dignitary…But the book is less about the distant figure of Bono than about McCormick’s feverish quest to emulate his success in a series of bands; he spent 10 thrilling, agonizing years on the brink of making it. The result is a funny, jaundiced celebration of rock ‘n’ roll fantasy and reality.”

Krysten actually tweeted this this morning–cool article about a new project she’s signed on with.

Lisa Wilson’s Parlay Films has acquired all international rights to the romantic comedy Vamps, which will be written and directed by Amy Heckerling.

The film will be a modern-day tale of two young female vampires living the good life in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardise their immortality.

Krysten Ritter is on board as one of the female leads with additional casting underway. This will make the first feature starring role for Ritter, who most recently appeared in Confessions Of A Shopaholic and will next be seen in DreamWorks’ comedy She’s Out Of My League.
